Sarah Adams presents at the National Field Experience Conference

Sarah Adams, of Texarkana, recently presented at the National Field Experience Conference in Ruston, Louisiana, on April 5-6, 2017.

Adams is a junior K-6 Elementary Education major.

The SAU students co-presented research findings in several sessions alongside faculty members from the College of Education, including Dr. Angela Stanford, Dr. Neelie Dobbins, and Jennifer Louden.

"Our desire is to create graduates ready to lead in their teaching profession, and we understand the importance of research in making decisions and improvements in education," said Jennifer Louden, assistant professor of education. "We want our graduates to leave us ready to take the next step and make a difference."

The NFEC is used to share information, practices, policies, and research pertaining to teacher candidates' experiences in school settings. Participants present their supervision practices and challenges, impact on learning, teaching modules, and many more relevant topics.
