Riley Brakebill receives a Leadership Award at SAU

Riley Brakebill was recently honored with a leadership award from Southern Arkansas University.

Brakebill is a sophomore Agriculture Science - Pre Vet major from Blossom, Texas., and was among students highlighted at SAU's 19th Annual Leadership Recognition and Awards for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Brakebill received the following recognition and award(s): Honors College Association Outstanding Serice Award.

The Outstanding Service Award is being presented to members of registered student organizations who have given their time, energy, and dedication, and have contributed to the overall success of the organization and its goals.

The theme for this year's annual event stated that true leaders act with courage, stand tall in the face of adversity and go where few have gone before because they know that example is the greatest school of humanity.

One of the main goals of SAU is transform and build its students into leaders who are willing to make a difference in the community and make society a better place to live.
