Jessica Hickman was recently selected to be on the 2013 SAU Homecoming Court

2013 Nov 5

Jessica Hickman, of Camden, Ark. , was recently honored with the distinction of serving on the Southern Arkansas University 2013 Homecoming Court.

Hickman is a junior Education major. She was sponsored by University Housing, and was escorted by Edward Gates.

Selection to the Homecoming Court is an honor. This year, 44 student organizations nominated one of their representatives to be considered for the Court. The 44 nominees convened for a group interview with a committee of faculty and staff representatives.

Based on a point system that took into account GPA, an essay by the nominee, campus involvement and the group interview, the group was narrowed down to the top 10 men and top 10 women. Individual interviews commenced, and from which the top five men and top five women were selected for the Court.

Hickman made several appearances with the rest of the Homecoming Court during the week, and were announced prior to the homecoming Mulerider football game Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at SAU's Wilkins Stadium.
