Haley Camp inducted into SAU's nursing honor society

Haley Camp, of Prescott, Ark., was recently inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing at Southern Arkansas University.

Camp, is a senior Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student. A total of 16 students were inducted into SAU's chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the Gamma Xi Chapter.

To be inducted into the Gamma Xi Chapter, baccalaureate and graduate nursing students must demonstrate excellence in academics and exhibit exceptional leadership in nursing. Also, students must have a qualifying GPA of 3.0 or higher in the nursing core courses, completed half of the nursing required curriculum, and rank in upper 35-percent of their class.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is a superior achievement for nursing students benefiting them with leadership qualities, professional standards, and creativity. It also strengthens their commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession.
