Cobyn Brakebill inducted to SAU Honors College

Cobyn Brakebill of Blossom, Texas, was inducted into the Southern Arkansas University Honors College at the annual Honors Matriculation Ceremony on September 21, 2014.

Brakebill of Blossom, Texas, is a junior Mass Communication: Digital Cinema major.

The SAU Honors College has enrolled a record 61 new students, bringing its total enrollment to 170 - the highest total enrollment in the program's history.

The SAU Honors College was founded in 2003 by SAU President Dr. David Rankin. Dr. Ed Kardas serves as director of the Honors College and has been instrumental in the growth of the program.

"It is exciting to see enrollment in Honors College reach new heights," said Rankin.

The Honors College seeks and admits qualified students who seek to pursue a serious academic program with equally gifted peers and committed teachers. Honors classes are small and provide academically enriching opportunities for students and the faculty who teach them.
