Charity Smith graduates with honors from SAU

Charity Smith from El Dorado, AR, graduated with honors from Southern Arkansas University at the Fall Commencement ceremonies on December 12, 2014.

Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude. To qualify for a Magna Cum Laude distinction, a student must have earned a cumulative 3.75 to 3.89 GPA at the end of the program.

Smith was a Bus Adm:Finance major, and graduated from the College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

This fall, SAU had more than 3,500 students enrolled on its Magnolia campus, breaking enrollment records.

Total enrollment for the semester was up 141 students over fall 2013, with 3,545 students registering for classes. Of those, 3,037 were undergraduates and 508 are pursuing graduate degrees, setting a new record for the School of Graduate Studies.
