Brishna Hedstrom named SAU's Chemistry Outstanding Student

Brishna Hedstrom, of Fouke, was named the Southern Arkansas University Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry Outstanding Student for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Hedstrom was a Pre-Health Chemistry major, and graduated from SAU with honors in May.

In addition to her outstanding academic performance, Hedstrom has a strong record of research through the SAU Natural Resources Research Center. She has served as a lab assistant and supplemental instructor for the department as well as president of the Chemistry Club. Also during her time at SAU, she was inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, and Sigma Alpha Pi Leadership Society.
