Austin Taylor attends Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference

Austin Taylor, of Little Rock, recently participated in the annual Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference held in Little Rock.

Approximately 30 Southern Arkansas University students were entered into more than 50 team and individual competitive events and earned a total of 21 top-five awards.

Taylor was awarded first place in the Accounting Analysis & Decision Making team event and second in the Marketing Analysis & Decision Making team event.

Taylor is a junior Accounting major.

Students eligible to represent SAU and Arkansas PBL at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, include Joseph Atchison, Amy Davis, Austin Taylor, Justin Blann, Lillian Dougan, Seth Barron, Cordell McDonald, Will McGee, Jessica Hammett, Thomas Quarshie, Aric Callaway, Valeriya Black, Holly Roomsburg, Emily Gill, Brenden Hoof, Erica Sears, Cassie Hartwick, and Shelly Latimer.

Dr. Gerald Plumlee was awarded Outstanding Local Chapter Advisor.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is a non-profit educational association that prepares students for careers in business and other business-related fields.

The State Leadership Conference is held prior to the National Leadership Conference, which provides various opportunities for leadership development, fundraising, and corporate facility tours for participants.
