Athena Overton graduates from SAU with honors

Athena Overton from Prescott, Ark., graduated with honors from Southern Arkansas University at the Spring Commencement on May 9, 2014.

Overton graduated Cum Laude. To qualify for a Cum Laude distinction, a student must earn a cumulative GPA from 3.8 to 3.9 at the end of their program.

Overton was a Social Work major and graduated from the College of Liberal and Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Social Work degree.
